Virtual reality headsets tested as new tool for labor pain relief
NCT ID NCT07329764
Summary
This study is testing whether using a virtual reality (VR) headset during labor can help reduce pain and anxiety and improve the overall birth experience. About 92 women in labor will be randomly assigned to either use a VR headset showing calming nature scenes with music or receive standard care without VR. Researchers will compare pain levels, anxiety, and satisfaction between the two groups to see if VR is an effective supportive tool.
