Virtual reality goggles could take the sting out of Kids' IVs

Summary
This study tests whether watching virtual reality (VR) videos can reduce pain and fear in children aged 7 to 12 when they get an IV. About 150 kids having day surgery will be randomly assigned to watch an aquarium or kaleidoscope VR video, or receive standard care. Researchers will measure pain, fear, and vital signs to see if VR distraction helps make the procedure less stressful.
