First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) goggles before a stomach scope procedure could help children aged 6-15 feel less anxious, have less pain, and recover faster. 66 children were split into two groups: one used VR with fun, age-appropriate apps, and the other received standard care. The researchers measured anxiety, pain, and recovery time to see if VR made a difference.
