VR headsets replace dental fear with calm

NCT ID NCT07273968

Summary

This study is testing whether using a virtual reality headset with calming audio can help reduce anxiety and pain for adults having their wisdom teeth pulled. It will compare patients who use VR during the procedure to those who receive only the standard local anesthetic. The goal is to see if this immersive distraction makes the dental surgery experience less stressful and more comfortable.
