Virtual worlds ease agony of burn care
NCT ID NCT07306442
Summary
This study tested whether using a virtual reality (VR) headset during painful wound dressing changes could help adults with serious burns. Researchers compared 60 patients who used VR to a group receiving standard care, measuring their pain levels and sleep quality. The goal was to see if this immersive distraction could offer a drug-free way to improve comfort and recovery.
