Walk a virtual labyrinth to ease the journey to motherhood

NCT ID NCT07161141

Summary

This study is developing and testing a virtual reality (VR) program designed to help first-time mothers prepare for childbirth and support their mental wellbeing. The VR experience uses a labyrinth as a metaphor for the emotional journey of pregnancy and labor. Researchers will enroll 68 healthy, first-time pregnant women to see if using the VR program for four weeks improves their confidence and coping skills for childbirth.
