Video game workouts tested to ease Parkinson's symptoms
NCT ID NCT07038590
Summary
This study tested whether a physical exercise program using immersive virtual reality video games works better than traditional rehabilitation to improve symptoms for people with mild to moderate Parkinson's disease. 100 participants were randomly assigned to do exercise either with VR games or standard methods for 15 minutes, 2-3 times a week for three months. Researchers measured changes in balance, walking, risk of falls, mood, and overall quality of life.
