Virtual reality aims to build empathy for dementia patients in future nurses

NCT ID NCT07265856

Summary

This study is testing whether a virtual reality (VR) education program can improve nursing students' attitudes, knowledge, and willingness to help people living with dementia. It involves 200 nursing students in Indonesia, who are randomly assigned to either try the VR program or receive standard online learning materials. The goal is to see if an immersive VR experience is better than traditional teaching at preparing future nurses to care for dementia patients.
