VR and coloring books calm Moms-to-Be, may prevent unnecessary C-Sections
NCT ID NCT07030530
Summary
This study tested whether simple, relaxing activities could reduce anxiety for pregnant women during a common fetal heart rate test (NST). Researchers had 108 healthy pregnant women try either a virtual reality video, a mandala coloring activity, or receive standard care during the test. The goal was to see if lowering anxiety could lead to more accurate test results and higher patient satisfaction, potentially reducing unnecessary follow-up procedures.
