Virtual reality games aim to protect Kids' minds during cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT05947045

Summary

This study is testing whether brain training exercises delivered through virtual reality (VR) headsets are practical and acceptable for children and young adults (ages 8-22) who are receiving radiation treatment for brain tumors. Researchers want to see if this fun, immersive approach can help protect or improve memory and thinking skills, which are sometimes affected by treatment. They will compare the VR training to similar exercises done on an iPad and measure brain activity to understand how it might work.
