Veterans test High-Tech balance check for spinal injury
NCT ID NCT03810781
Summary
This study tested a portable, low-cost virtual reality system to measure balance problems in veterans with cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM), a spinal cord condition. Researchers compared balance in 8 veterans with CSM to healthy veterans using the system, which tracks sway while standing on different surfaces. The goal was to see if this tool could help doctors better diagnose CSM and track a patient's recovery after surgery.
