First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding virtual reality (VR) balance games to standard physical therapy helps people with hemiplegia (paralysis on one side) after a stroke. 43 adults were split into two groups: one got regular therapy plus VR games, the other got regular therapy alone. After 20 sessions, the VR group showed better balance and walking ability, suggesting fun, interactive games can aid recovery.
