VR cartoon calms Kids' fears before scary heart procedure
NCT ID NCT07276893
Summary
This study tested if watching a special cartoon through virtual reality (VR) glasses could help children feel less anxious, scared, and in pain before and after a heart catheterization. Researchers worked with 42 children aged 5 to 10 who were scheduled for the procedure. They compared kids who watched the VR cartoon to those who received standard care to see if the distraction technique made a difference.
