First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether vonaprazan, a newer acid-blocking drug, works better than the standard drug esomeprazole for healing acid reflux damage after POEM surgery. About 300 adults who developed moderate-to-severe esophagitis after POEM will take one of the two medications for 8 weeks. The main goal is to see which drug heals the esophagus more effectively.
