New therapy trial aims to help kids with rare movement disorder walk and balance better
NCT ID NCT07291128
Summary
This study is testing whether a physical therapy method called VOJTA therapy works better than standard physical therapy for young children with ataxic cerebral palsy. VOJTA therapy uses gentle pressure on specific points to try to improve the brain's control of movement, balance, and muscle tone. The trial will involve 40 children aged 2-6 years, who will receive therapy five times a week for eight weeks to see which approach helps them move more easily.
