Your voice could help doctors spot swallowing trouble

NCT ID NCT05439447

Summary

This study aimed to see if a person's voice, recorded with special sensors, could help doctors diagnose swallowing problems (dysphagia) without needing to be in the same room. Researchers worked with 259 adults who were already scheduled for a standard swallowing test. They recorded participants' voices and measured sensor data before and after the test to see if the voice patterns could accurately predict swallowing issues.
