Could your voice be the new pain scale? study aims to listen for back pain

NCT ID NCT07078019

Summary

This study is exploring whether a simple voice recording can help estimate how much pain and disability a person with chronic low back pain is experiencing. Researchers will ask 110 participants to read a short text while recording their voice, and then compare the sound patterns to their answers on standard pain and function questionnaires. The goal is to see if voice analysis could one day provide a quick, objective way to help monitor chronic pain.
