Singing vs. breathing: which builds a stronger core and lungs?
NCT ID NCT07175844
Summary
This study aimed to find out if vocal exercises (like singing techniques) or traditional breathing exercises are better for improving lung function and core stability in healthy women. Fifty women aged 18-65 were randomly assigned to follow a 6-week program of either vocal or breathing exercises, meeting twice a week. Researchers measured their breathing capacity and trunk muscle control before and after the program to compare the results.
