New surgical method tested for faster hysterectomy recovery
NCT ID NCT05031182
Summary
This study compared two surgical techniques for removing the uterus for non-cancerous conditions. Researchers wanted to see if the newer vNOTES method (through the vagina) causes similar or fewer complications than traditional laparoscopy (through small belly cuts). They tracked 145 women's pain levels, recovery time, and complications for six months after surgery.
