New mRNA shot aims to fix leaky bladders by regrowing muscle
NCT ID NCT06247241
Summary
This early-stage study aimed to test a new drug called VMB-100 for women with moderate stress urinary incontinence (SUI), where physical activity causes urine leakage. The drug is an mRNA injection designed to be given directly into the pelvic muscle to help it regenerate and improve its function, potentially reducing leaks. The study was designed to check the safety of the injection and see if it helped control the condition, but it was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
