Scientists search for clues in skin: why some vitiligo spots Won't heal
NCT ID NCT06068218
Summary
This study aimed to understand why vitiligo treatments work better on some body areas (like the face) than others (like hands and feet). Researchers collected small skin samples from 20 adults with vitiligo and healthy volunteers to compare the molecular activity in different locations. The goal was to identify factors in the skin that might block repigmentation, which could guide future treatment development.
