NCT ID NCT07256769

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether adding vitamin K, α-lactalbumin, and D-chiro-inositol to standard calcium and vitamin D supplements can improve bone health in women with breast cancer who are on hormone therapy. These women are at higher risk for bone loss and fractures. The trial will compare the supplement combination against standard care over 12 months in 134 participants.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Synostea® (calcium carbonate, cholecalciferol, vitamin K, α-lactalbumin, D-chiro-inositol)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a better supplement combination to protect bone health in breast cancer survivors on hormone therapy.
What could go wrong
This is a small pilot study (134 people) testing a dietary supplement, not a drug. The benefits may be modest, and results may not apply to all patients.
