Vitamin e trial aims to halt liver decline
NCT ID NCT02581085
Summary
This study is testing whether a natural vitamin E supplement called tocotrienol can slow the progression of advanced liver disease caused by fatty liver. About 70 patients with stable but serious liver damage will take either the supplement or a placebo twice daily for three years. Researchers will track whether the supplement helps prevent the liver function from getting worse over time.
