Vitamin e shows promise in calming COVID-19's inflammatory storm

NCT ID NCT07412574

Summary

This small, early-stage study tested whether giving high doses of vitamin E (an antioxidant) to COVID-19 patients could reduce a key marker of harmful inflammation called C-reactive protein (CRP). Researchers compared CRP levels in 56 adult patients who received either vitamin E or a placebo. The goal was to see if this simple supplement could help control the body's overactive immune response to the virus.
