Common vitamin tested to fight silent liver disease
NCT ID NCT04801849
Summary
This study aimed to find the best dose of Vitamin E to help adults with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), a condition where fat builds up in the liver. Researchers tested three different doses of Vitamin E against a placebo in 200 participants over 24 weeks. The main goal was to see which dose most effectively lowered a key liver enzyme (ALT), a sign of reduced liver inflammation and damage.
