Summary
This study looked at whether taking vitamin D3 and prebiotics (a type of fiber) every day for 6 months could improve heart health in adults with type 2 diabetes. 190 people participated. The researchers measured changes in blood sugar, cholesterol, and gut bacteria. The goal was to see if these supplements could lower the risk of heart disease in people with diabetes.
