First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests whether taking high-dose vitamin D3 (50,000 IU every two weeks) for 12 weeks can lower inflammation and improve symptoms in adults with moderate ulcerative colitis. Sixty participants will either get vitamin D plus their usual treatment or a placebo plus usual treatment. The goal is to see if vitamin D can be a helpful add-on therapy to better manage the disease.
