Is your vitamin d test wrong? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07268742

Summary

This study aims to better understand how the body processes vitamin D. Researchers will compare levels of 'free' vitamin D—the active form the body can use—in healthy adults, pregnant women, and people with certain hormonal or kidney conditions. The goal is to see if measuring free vitamin D is a better indicator of a person's true vitamin D status than the standard total vitamin D test.
