First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at vitamin D levels in 63 critically ill children (1 month to 12 years) admitted to the ICU with severe breathing infections. Researchers will measure vitamin D and check if low levels are linked to more severe illness or higher risk of death. The goal is to better understand vitamin D's role in these infections, not to test a treatment.
