Researchers probe link between vitamin d and teen PCOS health risks
NCT ID NCT06970821
Summary
This study aimed to understand if low vitamin D levels are linked to metabolic issues like insulin resistance and belly fat in teenage girls with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Researchers compared 70 girls with PCOS to 40 healthy girls, measuring their vitamin D, blood sugar, cholesterol, and body fat. The goal was to gather information to better understand the early health risks for teens with PCOS.
