Can a simple vitamin test predict kidney trouble after surgery?

NCT ID NCT06688994

Summary

This study aims to see if measuring vitamin D levels in the blood can help identify kidney injury in patients undergoing heart surgery. Researchers will check blood samples from 46 adults having surgery, comparing those with normal and impaired kidney function. The goal is to learn if vitamin D could be a useful early warning sign, not to test a new treatment.
