NCT ID NCT01698840

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether adding extra vitamin D to formula for preterm babies (born 28-34 weeks) helps maintain healthy vitamin D levels and supports bone development. 39 infants received either standard or higher vitamin D formula until about 52 weeks adjusted age. The main goal was to see if higher vitamin D prevents low levels and improves bone health markers.
