First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a high dose of vitamin D (100,000 IU) is better than a low dose (12,000 IU) for kidney transplant recipients. The goal was to see if it could lower the risk of new diabetes, heart problems, cancer, or death. Over 500 adults who had a kidney transplant 1 to 4 years earlier took part and were followed for 2 years.
