Scientists track how Mom's vitamin d pills show up in breastmilk and baby

NCT ID NCT06203041

Summary

This study aims to understand how Vitamin D from a mother's daily supplement passes into her breastmilk and is then processed by her baby. Researchers are measuring Vitamin D levels in breastmilk before and after 28 days of supplementation in 60 breastfeeding mothers. They are also checking the Vitamin D levels in the saliva and stool of the mothers' exclusively breastfed infants.
