First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tested whether high doses of vitamin D can change the immune system in healthy adults. Researchers gave 56 participants either vitamin D or a placebo for 3 months and measured different types of immune cells in their blood. The goal was to understand how vitamin D might help control the immune system, which could be useful for diseases like multiple sclerosis. This was a research study, not a treatment trial.
