NCT ID NCT07245277

First seen Dec 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding vitamin D to standard antibiotic treatment helps preterm babies with sepsis. 78 infants were split into three groups: one got only antibiotics, and two got antibiotics plus different doses of vitamin D (400 IU or 800 IU daily) for 7 days. Researchers measured changes in sepsis scores and C-reactive protein levels to see if vitamin D made a difference.
