Can a daily vitamin pill protect moms and babies?
NCT ID NCT05329428
Summary
This study tested whether giving daily vitamin D supplements to pregnant women at risk of deficiency could bring their vitamin D levels up to a healthy range. Researchers compared two different daily doses (20 or 40 micrograms) against standard prenatal care in 105 women. The goal was to see if correcting vitamin D levels could help reduce pregnancy complications and improve outcomes for mothers and babies.
