Summary
This study tested whether adding a Vitamin D supplement to standard chemotherapy helps people with stage II or III colorectal cancer. It involved 44 patients, with half receiving chemo alone and half receiving chemo plus Vitamin D for six months. Researchers measured markers related to inflammation and cancer cell death to see if Vitamin D made the treatment more effective.
