NCT ID NCT06861062
Summary
This large study is testing whether taking daily vitamin D or yeast beta-glucan supplements can help people with type 2 diabetes better control their blood sugar and reduce their risk of heart disease. It will involve 2,500 adults with diabetes, who will take the supplements or a placebo for two years, followed by three years of monitoring. The goal is to see if these widely available supplements offer a safe, simple way to improve long-term health for millions.
