NCT ID NCT07197749
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This early-stage trial tests whether adding vitamin C to standard steroid treatment can help people with gastrointestinal graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), a serious complication after a donor stem cell transplant. GVHD occurs when donor cells attack the patient's body, especially the gut, causing pain and bowel issues. The study will enroll 35 people aged 5 and older to see if vitamin C can protect gut cells and improve response by day 28.
