Vitamin c infusion trial aims to save lives after severe burns
NCT ID NCT04138394
Summary
This large international study is testing whether adding high-dose intravenous vitamin C to standard burn care helps patients recover better. It involves 666 adults with severe burns covering at least 20% of their body. Half will receive vitamin C infusions for four days alongside standard care, while the other half receives a placebo, to see if vitamin C reduces organ failure and improves survival.
