Could a simple vitamin reduce costly anemia meds for dialysis patients?

NCT ID NCT07076108

Summary

This study tested whether giving oral vitamin C to patients with kidney failure on regular dialysis could safely help control their anemia. It involved 60 patients to see if the vitamin could reduce the amount of a standard anemia medication (erythropoietin) they needed. The goal was to find a simple, low-cost way to better manage a common and serious complication of kidney disease.
