Summary
This study measured vitamin C levels in 434 hospitalized patients over age 75 to find out how many have low vitamin C (hypovitaminosis C). Researchers also looked at risk factors like diet and health conditions. The goal was to better understand who is at risk so doctors can diagnose and treat it earlier. No new treatment was tested; this was an observation-only study.
