First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested whether a special form of vitamin B12 (Sucrosomial® B12) can raise B12 levels in people with type 2 diabetes who have low B12 due to their diabetes medication, metformin. Fifty adults took either the B12 pill or a placebo daily for 4 weeks. The goal was to see if the supplement could safely correct the deficiency and improve B12-related markers in the blood.
