Can a simple vitamin boost your diabetes treatment?
NCT ID NCT06241638
Summary
This study tested whether adding a daily vitamin B12 supplement to the standard diabetes drug dapagliflozin could help people with type 2 diabetes better control their long-term blood sugar levels. It involved 80 patients who were already taking dapagliflozin, with half also receiving vitamin B12 for a full year. Researchers measured participants' blood sugar control (HbA1c) and vitamin B12 levels every three months to see if the combination was more effective.
