Could a simple vitamin be key to treating vocal cord lesions?

NCT ID NCT05323292

Summary

This study aims to understand if low vitamin A levels are connected to vocal cord leukoplakia, which are white patches that can develop on the vocal cords. Researchers will measure vitamin A levels in 90 people with these patches and compare them to people without the condition. The goal is to see if vitamin A supplements could be a future, less invasive treatment option.
