Eye exercises may reduce need for surgery in wandering eye condition

NCT ID NCT07563959

First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether 12 sessions of visual therapy (eye exercises) can improve eye alignment and depth perception in people aged 8 to 50 with intermittent horizontal strabismus (eyes that sometimes cross or drift outward). Participants are randomly assigned to either the therapy group or a no-treatment control group. The goal is to see if this non-invasive approach can control the condition and reduce the need for eye muscle surgery.
