Walker with lights and sounds may reduce freezing in Parkinson's patients

Summary

This study tested whether a walker that provides visual and auditory cues can improve walking in people with Parkinson's disease who experience freezing of gait. Thirty participants walked with and without the cueing walker, and their gait was measured. The goal was to see if the cues help reduce freezing and improve walking speed and balance.
