First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This small pilot study tests whether a pharmacist-led program to control high blood pressure and cholesterol can help people at risk for Alzheimer's disease. Ten participants, aged 50-75 and carrying the APOE ε4 gene, will take standard medications for six months. The goal is to see if this approach is feasible and improves heart health markers, which may lower dementia risk.
