New VR and tablet tests aim to see what eye charts miss
NCT ID NCT07489898
First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study explores whether tablet and virtual reality tests can better capture the real-life vision problems people with neurodegenerative eye diseases face, like trouble recognizing faces or shopping. Fifty adults will try these new tools, and researchers will check if the results match patients' own reports of their quality of life. The goal is to improve how vision is measured in future clinical trials so new treatments can be tested more accurately.
